Managing T2D on Ozempic and Seeking Support

Hi everyone,

I’ve been living with type 2 diabetes for about three years. I started on metformin, later switched to a GLP-1, and now I’m on Ozempic. It’s helped with appetite control and sticking to a low-carb diet, but my blood sugar levels are still unpredictable. I walk daily, yet I often find it hard to stay in range all day, and evenings can be challenging with sugar cravings.

I’m here to connect with others who understand what it’s like to manage T2D and would like to hear about your experiences.
Looking forward to learning from this community.

  1. Hi Mari! () Welcome to the community! We have a few other new members who also have type 2 diabetes and are hoping to find support. started a similar forum here: https://obesity.net/forums/hi-everyone. Obesity and type 2 diabetes are so intertwined that it can be really helpful to treat both at the same time. In all these years, did your doctor ever refer you to a dietician who specializes in type 2 diabetes? If not, you might consider asking for a referral. The visits are usually covered by insurance. A good dietician can look at what you are eating and when and help you make changes that lower your A1C and keep your blood sugar levels steady. I hope you get lots of input from others in the community. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)
