Is checking the scale every day healthy?

Hi. I get up early in the morning every Tuesdays, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Because of this in happen to get out of bed and ready breakfast(activiting the coffee maker and putting my breakfast of rice and veggies in the microwave. I admit this embarrassingly that I do this with only my boxers on to save time.

Usually on a work morning check the scale since I'm not wearing pants at the moment which contains a lot of things I carry daily which would add to the scale weight.

Embarrassing context aside I do tend to check the scale nearly every work day. Would it be more healthy to do so every day?

  1. I took a look at the second link above. I'm beyond concerned. I had no idea I had this issue. I'll have to make an account on that site. Thank you for telling me about that. You did the right thing.

  2. Hi Alex. Hopefully, others will chime in here as well.
Really, what ever works for you is best. I tend to weigh myself daily, like you. I find it helps me stay on track. Others find that too stressful and weight themselves every other day, every week or, sometimes, not at all. Are you comfortable with daily weigh-ins or are you finding that they make you obsess too much about your weight? - Lori (Team Member)

    1. thanks. I signed up two days ago, but haven't gotten a response. Don't take this the wrong way, but i do need to ask about what I drink. I used to drink coconut bai, till a few days ago when I learned that coconut water is terrible for Chronic Kidney disease.

I do want to ask able ICE drink which i have been drinking lately. Normally I'd wait for an answer on the other forum, but I'm not getting any replies there, so in the meantime,
What are your thoughts on this?

    2. Hi . We're not medical experts and I don't moderate in our kidney disease community, so I'm not really familiar with the food and drinks that are helpful/harmful. I wish I had better answers for you. When you finally do find a good primary care doctor, you might want to ask for a referral to a dietician who specializes in kidney disease. That guidance should be very helpful. - Lori (Team Member)
