I lost 50 pound over about 18 months but for the 12 months I haven't really lost weight -- well, I've been gaining and losing the same 8 pounds! Some of it is me making poor choices but not all of it, it's like no matter what I was doing I couldn't get below a certain weight. But I also haven't gained back any of the 50 I lost so that's win.
The odd thing is, suddenly, after a year, I'm back to losing weight. I didn't make any major changes, although I've been better about not making poor choice they do still get made.
I'm assuming this is simply a plateau of sorts while my body adjusts to being 50 pounds lighter but it seems like a year is a really long time to stall in losing weight. I've lost upwards of 100 pound three different times in my life and I don't recall having such a long "lull" in the process before. Maybe it's age? Maybe it's the slow yo-yo of my weight over the decades? Any ideas or thoughts on this process?
