Body Pain

Do you currently experience pain in your body?

Where does it hurt the most, and what does it feel like?

Have you found anything that helps manage the pain or makes it more bearable?

  1. Today have osteorthritis pain at the base of my thumb, bone spur pain in my foot and the third day of foghting off a migrain. I also have lupus. It is a rare day without pain.

    1. That must make it difficult to exercise and, I would guess, to get a good night's sleep. Does anything help with your migraine? Are you on a good treatment plan for Lupus? Thinking of you and senting the best of all wishes your way. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. My hip was bothering me until I got the nerve in my groin unpinched. Now it's a toss up between my head and my back. I'm not looking forward to another back surgery and have no ride to the ER, so I just deal with it.

    1. still have a migraine, but my back feels better. I just muddle through with my migraines unless they are really, really bad. Then the only thing that I can do is try to sleep to get rid of it, unless I have a ride to the ER. When you have migraines for as long as I have you learn to tune them out or ignore them.

    2. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to live with mirgaine. I am sure you have tried every medication and therapy on the planet since you have been suffering from them for so long, but I thought you still might be interested in our sister community, Migraine.com. If nothing else, you'll find articles and forum posts that will help you feel less alone. You don't have to join to read the content, but it is our oldest and most active community. So you'll find lots of support there. I'm glad your back feels better and I hope you are able to enjoy the holidays ahead. - Lori (Team Member)

  3. I'm at 310. Going to have my 3rd knee surgery on Dec 10. My knee hurts, my legs hurt. Like they feel heavy. I'm miserable. Where can I get help?

    1. Hi . That kind of surgery is usually successful, so, hopefully yours will be successful as well. The follow-up physical therapy is super important, as I am sure you know from your previous surgeries. I hope the surgery helps and that you get answers to the heaviness you feel in your legs. Please don't let them blame it on your weight. There are plenty of obese people who do know have heavy, aching feelings in their legs. - Lori (Team Member)

    2. thank you

  4. My knees are usually what hurt most. Right now they're good because i've had to take a few days off from walking. What helps me is my main exercise is walking, and I walk slower when it hurts. I use muscle cream when I need too, and advil as needed. I like to take baths, but at 250 pounds not always easy to get out of the tub

    1. I do when I need to. this time I had to because I have heel cracks that hurt to walk to much. I'm feeling better with that though and i'm planning a long walk on Thanksgiving day while the food is cooking.

    2. Ouch to your heel! I'm so glad that you're feeling better. A long walk on Thanksgiving day sounds absolutely lovely. I hope wherever you are, you have cool, crisp air and lots of sunshine on your walk. You're inspiring me to include a nice long walk in my day tomorrow, too. Thank you! I hope you and yours have a wonderfully relaxing day tomorrow. 💙 Kayleigh, Team Member
