What to expect after bariatric surgery
For those who have had bariatric surgery (also known as weight loss surgery), what was your recovery like? Did you experience any side effects from your procedure? What helped you recover and stay comfortable as you healed?
I had my Duodenal Switch in 2009, and recently spent time in a nursing home recovering from a head injury. I'm now trying to overcome severe protein calorie malnutrition and vitamin deficiencies due to mismanagement of my dietary and suplement needs.

. Have you been in the nursing home long? Are you expected to make a full recovery? I am guessing the staff doesn't understand the nutritional needs of someone who had the duodenal switch surgery.
