She has a pretty face

Gastric bypass to do or not to do it's been since 2009 all these years and I can't answer this one question, would you do it again. Because it changed everything about me I mean everything!! I became addicted to anything that crossed my path and still fighting them off! I had no idea what was coming! Today still trying to figure it out I need to hear other people who have battled morbid obesity yes love that term !! I question what am who I am everyday!! I hope to hear from someone not that I'd wish someone else went through this but I can't be the only one!

  1. I was on four, and now i'm only on one. It's for high blood pressure. I was on three for blood pressure and one for high cholesterol before

    1. That's wonderful! Hopefully, you'll eventually be able to get off the blood pressure medication again, too. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. I had gastric sleeve surgery in 2016 and i'd do it again in a second. I lost 100 pounds in just over a year, I got off several of the medications I was taking, and I started to enjoy exercise to some degree. Sadly I gained back about half because of some things out of my control, my brother's death being one of them, and some things in my control like using COVID closing my gym as an excuse to not work out as much. I'm trying again though. I even checked into getting a full bypass by insurance wanted to make me go through to many hoops

    1. Hi . I am so very sorry about the loss of your brother. How devasting. I'm glad you have managed to keep so much of the weight off after all you've been through. It sounds like you are on the right track now and that you can afford to lose a bit more slowly than before if necessary. Are you still off your medications? I'm glad you found this community. We're here for you. Warm wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
