Obesity symptoms

The symptoms of life with obesity are unique to each person and can change dramatically.

From things like shortness of breath, skin problems, gastrointestinal trouble, and pain to fatigue, everyone's experience with these and more is so different.

What symptoms do you currently live with and how does it impact your day to day?

  1. All of them. But I had all these before I gained wt. I have asthma also. I know the wt doesn’t help any issues but I can’t afford the shots, can’t exercise, and I’m constantly on a diet with no real results. Up & down. So frustrating. Why should wealthy people be only ones with access? My insurance wouldn’t cover it. Guess I’ll have to hope for DM. But just got disability Medicare and I’ve heard they won’t cover it at all.

    1. My heart goes out to you, . No one should have to go without health care because they can't afford it. I hope you will try to get the medication through Medicare and, if they reject it, that you will request other options you can discuss with your doctor. There are several different treatments for asthma and it is such a common illness. I would hope they would cover at least one medication. Have you ever asked your doctor for help with weight? At the very least, your doctor might refer you to a registered dietician who can help you find foods that reduce inflammation and help you feel more energetic.
